Some general information and guidance which will help you to prepare for before and after your treatment.
Before
It's advisable not to eat a heavy meal before coming for any kind of treatment. At the same time, don't fast before receiving a treatment as you may feel lightheaded. I also ask that you refrain from any alcohol before starting a treatment; if alcohol has been consumed, I am within my rights to refuse treatment. Allow time to arrive and leave without the need to rush, as this will defeat the purpose!
After
At the end of your treatment, you will be given a drink of water. I always advise clients to drink plenty water to help flush out any waste products, to try and rest and take things easy after your treatment, allowing the body to relax and de-toxify. Don't eat heavy meals too soon after treatment and avoid alcohol for the rest of the day, if you can.
On a daily basis, always drink plenty water, try to reduce your intake of caffeine and try to maintain a healthy and balanced diet, combined with regular exercise. Exercise can be good for posture too and relaxation activities can help to balance the body, mind and spirit.
After Effects
Depending on the type of treatment you have, you may experience some after effects such as a headache or nausea, or a feeling of lightness or heaviness. This is normal and is a good reaction - it means your treatment is working. At the end of your treatment, you will be given an aftercare/homecare leaflet which will help you to understand and manage your treatment.
