Aromatherapy is defined as the controlled use of essential oils in a positive way to maintain good health and revitalise the body, mind and spirit. Aromatherapy uses essential oils from plants, trees, flowers and herbs and they are inhaled or applied directly to the skin. Aromatherapy oils are NOT taken internally.
Massage is a beneficial therapy in it's own right and is an excellent way of introducing essential oils to the body. The effects of massage are similar to those of Swedish Massage, promoting relaxation, increased circulation and it also aids the digestive and lymphatic systems by helping to elimate toxins from our bodies. An excellent treatment for stress, anxiety and re-balancing of both body and mind.
Tension and pain will be relieved in tense, tired and aching muscles. A relaxing or stimulating effect will be achieved, followed by a sense of wellbeing.
