On-site (also known as seated) Massage has been around for centuries although it has only been marketed at the workplace as recently as 1982.
Seated massage is
and is perfect for the workplace, conferences, incentives, meetings, product launches, events and more.
On-site massage is performed whilst the client is FULLY CLOTHED, there are NO MESSY OILS and it can be done at any place, any location. Seated massage is based on the traditional Japanese accupressure technique called ANMA, which is Japanese for 'press and rub'. This therapy aims to stimulate the acupressure/energy points in the head, neck, shoulders, spine and lower back which can be found all along the meridians, or energy lines, of the body. A specific sequence of movements is used, designed to improve the flow of energy throughout the body and balance and strengthen the body's muscular, circulatory and nervous systems. A full treatment lasts no more than 20 minutes but leaves the client feeling refreshed, relaxed and energised.
In the UK, on-site massage has been very useful in the corporate world and in work environments which pose health risks such as stress, CVS (computer vision syndrome), RSI (repetitive strain injury) and back strain.
On-site massage has benefits for both the employee and the employer, it's a 'win-win' situation.
